Subject: [9fans] APE filename limit
Date: Thu, 4 Aug 2005 18:50:04 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <8d4381f2026111f6da4fe64ecd598133@proxima.alt.za> (raw)
I changed /sys/include/ape/sys/limits.h:/NAME_MAX
from 28(7?) to 256. It sufficed to allow me to "cvs import"
tiff-3.7.3 which includes some long filenames.
I couldn't quite figure out where NAME_MAX asserted itself and I'm
sure my fix wasn't exactly right, but it worked OK. Somebody else may
suggest a better way to deal with it.
