Without the people dedicated to an open source cause, we wouldn't have as liberal a license as we do. The global consciousness/sensitivity caused by the free and open movements was what softened the company enough to accept this license. We may not like to admit it, but we have rms and his followers to thank for this license. Having to take their denunciations is just the other side of the same coin. Should we ever come up with a license that pleases both them and the company, it would be a sign that their stance isn't extreme enough.
