I really like this view.

P.S. I've been pretty busy and haven't had time
to poke my head out of the gopher hole to say something about it.
it's pretty cool.

`God only knows,'' was my favorite answer to managment's questions about
when something is going to be finished. Didn't make me very popular,
though. But now that I *AM* managment! (Sam! Ed! Get back to work!! :)

it has changed from time to time (perhaps for each edition).

extern char Egreg[]; /* ken has left the building */
extern char Egreg[]; /* xterm: Error 50, errno 1: Too big */
extern char Egreg[]; /* it's a thermal problem */

i haven't got the older ones on any current file server.

the file server has `rob made me do it' for a particular status.

inferno had (amongst others)

extern char Egreg[]; /* rob locked it */	(hosted)
extern char Egreg[]; /* ken scheduled it */	(native)

and now ours has

extern char Egreg[]; /* jim'll fix it */

When Ken left the building for good.
You can probably figure it out from
Russ's Plan 9 history page, although
I haven't really had a chance to look
at it carefully yet.

Yeah, I know. Greg Chesson's stuff would break and it would
just say 'Something went wrong.' I was fishing for the follow-on
story.

EGREG is really old. on 9th Edition it was:

    EGREG It's all Greg's fault
         Something went wrong.

iirc it was a Datakit joke.
