I merge often our changes with those in sources, and push changed /n/sources/nemo files back again. --upas-ksfgzskoyncglquoxvgtarsxrs Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6]) by aquamar; Mon Mar 15 11:03:40 MET 2004 Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 31AEB19BD3; Mon, 15 Mar 2004 05:03:28 -0500 (EST) Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.4.6]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 5A62219A33; Mon, 15 Mar 2004 05:03:21 -0500 (EST) X-Original-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id B44AD19BD3; Mon, 15 Mar 2004 05:02:02 -0500 (EST) Received: from adat.davidashen.net (unknown [217.113.20.242]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 306EC19AFE for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Mon, 15 Mar 2004 05:01:53 -0500 (EST) Received: from adat.davidashen.net (localhost.davidashen.net [127.0.0.1]) by adat.davidashen.net (8.12.8p1/8.12.8) with ESMTP id i2FA007b072773 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Mon, 15 Mar 2004 14:00:00 +0400 (AMT) (envelope-from dvd@adat.davidashen.net) Received: (from dvd@localhost) by adat.davidashen.net (8.12.8p1/8.12.8/Submit) id i2FA00Lu072772 for 9fans@cse.psu.edu; Mon, 15 Mar 2004 14:00:00 +0400 (AMT) From: David Tolpin Message-Id: <200403151000.i2FA00Lu072772@adat.davidashen.net> To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Subject: [9fans] better than what Sender: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu Errors-To: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu X-BeenThere: 9fans@cse.psu.edu X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu List-Id: Fans of the OS Plan 9 from Bell Labs <9fans.cse.psu.edu> List-Archive: Date: Mon, 15 Mar 2004 14:00:00 +0400 (AMT) X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.63 (2004-01-11) on psuvax1.cse.psu.edu X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=no version=2.63 X-Spam-Level: Various improved sources (/n/sources/nemo, for example), such as alternative keyboard drivers and other things, are distributed as replacements for files in the source tree. It is never known whether they can safely replace files in the current source base or they had been branched off a while ago and just writing them over would lead to conflicts. Any chance the improvements can be delivered in a form (e.g. patch(1)), or context diff, or with a copy of the original tree, or with another reference to the exact versions/dates of the original files) that lets people like me know better than what the proposed improvements are?
