Subject: [9fans] Problems with STB nVidia 16MB - video cuts out during setup
Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2001 09:38:35 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <9tbl7n$dat$1@newpoisson.nosc.mil> (raw)
I'm trying to install Plan 9 on a system with an STB nVidia 16MB video card.
I added the card to vgadb (according to the dump in vgainfo.txt):
0xC0072="STB nVIDIA TNT ver. 1.10 " # STB nVidia
When the installation disk boots the screen clears like rio is coming up,
and you can hear the relays click as the monitor resoultion is changed -- so
far, so good. But the screen stays black and the monitor gives me the notice
that there is no video feed coming from the card! The computer is still on.
I looked at vgainfo.txt, and there's a different dump there, but I have no
clue what it means.
Anyone seen this kind problem before?
