But, I only just started using plan 9 right now, so = I have absolutely no idea what I am doing :(. I installed directly from cd, without using a boot floppy, the only = thing that I had to do was change the boot path. The graphical interface = loaded fine when I was doing the install, but when I first boot the = system and login I get this: aux/vga: nvidia: segattach nvidiammio, size 16777216: bad arg in system (that was typed in by hand, so might not be exact) Is there a way that I can get this working without recompiling the = kernel, since I have no idea how to do that yet. Or, if that part is easy, where do I get the latest vganvidia from? I can't even get the text editor to load, is this because of the above = problem? I will be grateful for any assistance you can give me Richard Hunt My computer: plan9 installed on /dev/hda3, booting with lilo (no problems with this) linux installed on /dev/hda[56] broken windows install on /dev/hda1 (I think the plan9 install was = responsible for breaking this - or at least my use of the plan 9 = installer :) AMD K6/2 400 64Mb ram NVIDIA Riva TNT 16Mb (It's a creative graphics blaster) Aureal vortex sound card (I assume there will be no support for this?) = 16x generic dvd drive 3.5" floppy drive 56k generic modem - but I have = no internet connection, so I can't do any direct installs from the = internet. I do have access to the internet and cd burners on university = computers, however. I have five years experience with linux, including setting up kernels = etc, if this will be any use to me. --- Odchoz=ED zpr=E1va neobsahuje viry.
