However, refer adds that trailing 'a' which I don't like (basically I have no two references from the same author from the same year, but still I have those 'a's everywhere...). I'd like that letter to appear only when it's really needed. Hasn't sb solved this somehow? (I am now using the heirloom version of refer now.) Thank you Ruda
