I am running Plan9port on Fedora 35.

When I run acme as root, it runs fine. However, when I try to run it as a
regular user, I get:

$ acme
imageinit: can't open font /mnt/font/Courier/12a/font: 0
acme: can't open display: 0

Any help would be appreciated.
