Well, my hostowner user cant seem to fudge the /tmp either (not by any sane means such as unmount or rm) if that might reveal anything (including anything about my own installation, which is admittedly mostly neglected). Im on qemu-kvm and bell's plan9.iso rather than anything 9front, however

(practical side of me wonders irresponsibly if a reboot would make the issue go away)
(and why does everytime i get inspired on this OS the contrib directory goes down and I can't browse? lol)
