i was just reminded of an idea for a tag-based filing system. in this
context, i would imagine a file server that took, say:

crypto/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 djb/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 salsafamily.pdf
math/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 djb/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 grumpy.pdf

and turned it into:

crypto/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 djb/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 salsafamily.pdf
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 salsafamily.pdf
math/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 djb/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 grumpy.pdf
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 grumpy.pdf
djb/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 crypto/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 salsafamily.pdf
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 math/
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 grumpy.pdf
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 salsafamily.pdf
=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 grumpy.pdf

just to throw it out there.
