On my system (Arch 5.10.16) using fontsrv introduces 2-3 second delays
whenever a program needs to know about the font,
e.g. when opening acme the window first turns all black and then all
white before the columns appear; similarly, lc always takes about
2 seconds before the listing appears.
Do others observe this, too?
