I'm dreaming of Nix, but thats just me. The bulk of the work would be compiling drivers for the respective systems, as both run Linux, and I imagine the source to the Linux drivers would be open. Thoughts from the 9fans? Thanks! Shane. --047d7b3430debace2f04f1c1bda2 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Hello 9fans,

Taking into account the &q= uot;Is that hardware available?" question, and knowing this ain't,= perhaps this could be a suggestion for future GSoCs or other coding effort= s when they are in fact available, because this looks like a little bit of = fun:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/do-it-yoursel= f/edison.html
http://www.intel.com/= content/www/us/en/do-it-yourself/galileo-maker-quark-board.html

Both are Pentium x86 class SoCs, the Edison (the = SD card one) is a dual core 400MHz with wifi and Bluetooth, according to so= urces. I'm dreaming of Nix, but thats just me.

The bulk of the work would be compiling drivers for the respective sys= tems, as both run Linux, and I imagine the source to the Linux drivers woul= d be open.

Thoughts from the 9fans?

Thanks!

Shane.
