IBM PS/2 hardware technical reference manual is quite definitive on VGAs but hard to come by! 2. Programmers Guide to PC & PS/2 Video Systems, R. Wilton, Microsoft Press is pretty good, if a bit "BIOS"y, but is certainly pure VGA 3. Programmers Guide to the EGA, VGA and Super VGA Cards, Ferraro, Adison Wesley was quite good on first generation SVGAs, and has some history 4. The Indispensible PC Hardware Book, Messmer, Adison Wesley, is always useful --upas-ibsitkmqepyfmbgxigfrxgxtyn Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from finch-punt-12.mail.demon.net ([194.217.242.36]) by cpu; Tue Sep 26 07:15:39 BST 2000 Received: from punt-1.mail.demon.net by mailstore for ngr@cotswold.demon.co.uk id 969920723:10:15535:3; Mon, 25 Sep 2000 22:25:23 GMT Received: from hearno.cyberware.co.uk ([194.74.221.2]) by punt-1.mail.demon.net id aa1015416; 25 Sep 2000 22:25 GMT Received: from mail (postfix@psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.4.6]) by hearno.cyberware.co.uk (8.9.1b+Sun/8.7.2) with ESMTP id XAA19106 for ; Mon, 25 Sep 2000 23:24:21 +0100 (BST) Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (unknown [130.203.18.6]) by mail (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id DC2E4199DA; Mon, 25 Sep 2000 18:25:07 -0400 (EDT) Received: from goliat.eik.bme.hu (goliat.eik.bme.hu [152.66.0.200]) by mail (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id D1249199D7 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Mon, 25 Sep 2000 18:24:14 -0400 (EDT) Received: by goliat.eik.bme.hu (Postfix, from userid 455) id E3ACAD433; Tue, 26 Sep 2000 00:24:13 +0200 (MET DST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by goliat.eik.bme.hu (Postfix) with ESMTP id BB842A14C for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Tue, 26 Sep 2000 00:24:13 +0200 (MET DST) Date: Tue, 26 Sep 2000 00:24:12 +0200 (MET DST) From: FODEMESI Gergely X-Sender: fgergo@goliat To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Subject: Re: [9fans] any vga driver gurus about?
