Not actually on vacation, though I could do with one.

The FreeBSD code has a pile of variations on the driver specifically
for the 1010.  It seems they have a new core called the C10 which is
almost but not entirely like the original.

The differences are sufficient for me to be cautious, but basic
disk transfer to modern devices should be fine. I would worry about
old, slow, devices and transferring CD audio.

I'll get the manuals.
