I have a linux box (with firewall) running vncserver on display :1
On Plan 9 box, I tried
vncv linux-host:1
I get response
vncv: authentication failure: authentication failed
Does any bosy know the default port used by vncserveri to accept incoming
connections?

It's quite likely that you've mistyped the password
on the first attempt and factotum is repeating your
bad password for you. Do this and see if it clears
up:
echo 'delkey server=linux-host' >/mnt/factotum/ctl
Cheers,
Sam
