I use Belkin OmniCube KVM switch. = Whenever I press=20 SCROLL LOCK key twice and press ARROW key (to move to another machine = from Plan=20 9), I get two void characters (called 'Peter face' or something?) = displayed.=20 When I come back to Plan 9, I have to erase these two characters, if = needed. How=20 can I avoid this?

If the belkin is going to sniff some special key sequence off the keyboard, he should queue up the sequence such that if is keyed it remains in the kvm for some set timeout waiting for an up or down key sequence. Further, if the proper sequence *is* keyed, it certainly shouldn't be sent down to the connected pc (besides - which one do we choose to send it to? The prior connected one, or the new one?). All in all it seems to be a bad solution to the pseudo problem of "how can the user swap machines without having to touch the kvm?" Stick to the buttons on the box and hopefully this will go away. As an aside, the other OSs probably see a scroll lock on, scroll lock off - if they interpret the keycode at all.
