I adore acme -- mostly because i adore chording, which
never struck me as something particularly hard to get
used to. My first linux chord using the acme in ports
was a jubilant day. Cut-chording from 9term and pasting
into the browser is sweet, sweet icing.

I do have a few complaints about acme, though, and
perhaps it's just because I haven't found the 'right'
way (as is quite often the case 'round these parts).
Conditional search and replace is one -- I type
the word i'm looking for in the header, chord cut/paste
it for a snarf, then right-click. I continue right-
clicking on the matches until I find one I want to
replace, do so with a double-first-third and now I
have to drag back up to the bar to right-click
on the word again. Do this several times and you wish
you had an equivalent to the 'n' key to hit.

Another that comes to mind is cursor teleport when
I try to delete a modified window (ie: win). Make
me click Del twice, fine, but the current mechanism
seems to violate both 'minimize mouse activity' and
'don''t second-guess the user.'

Lastly, the window headers can be a pain to leave
the mouse over for typing. Quite often in the draw-
right-hand-back-to-the-keyboard I nudge the little
fella ever so and end up typing in the window body.
Undo, re-place mouse, move more carefully, etc.

These are tiny issues compared to the benefit I
get using it, though.

Sam
