Still worse, from 1991-2000 ATT/Lucent were actively trying to kill it (though I doubt their management saw it that way ...). I'm kind of hating life with Linux 2.4 series kernels. I keep thinking, "if only I could just cut over to Plan 9 ...". It is easy to make a case that Linux was not designed. ron
