Yada yada yada, backpedaling. P9 -is- a *distributed operating system*. That was it's purpose. Using it for anything else, while possible, isn't using its strengths. It's simply trying to shoehorn it in to the same old same old. That doesn't do P9 the justice it deserves. It does of course explain why the OS has not grown with the potential it possess. If you don't see, you don't see. You're of course welcome to your own opinion. -- -- Open Forge, LLC 24/365 Onsite Support for PCs, Networks, & Game Consoles 512-695-4126 (Austin, Tx.) help@open-forge.com irc.open-forge.com Hangar 18 Open Source Distributed Computing Using Plan 9 & Linux 512-451-7087 http://open-forge.org/hangar18 irc.open-forge.org James Choate 512-451-7087 ravage@ssz.com jchoate@open-forge.com
