9load should be able to recognize a SCSI drive, right?

A friend of mine just installed Plan 9 on an old compaq with an ISA AHA 1542
scsi card. 9load prints only fd0 as a boot option (boot from: )..

We are able to bring up a kernel from the floppy, but want to be able to do
it straight from the hard drive.

possible?
