I'm running off the CD with the ether set up as 1.1.1.1. Venti is started and seems to run. I am using the old /dev/sdC0/isect1 partition for testing flfmt. If I flfmt /dev/sdC0/isect1 it seems to go fine. If I do this: flfmt -v -h 1.1.1.1 /dev/sdC0/isect1 I get back three lines of hex numbers, no errors. Are three lines of hex numbers pretty much the thing to expect? But if I try to start fossil, well, that goes badly. The first line of config is this: fsys main config /dev/sdC0/isect1 and that gets this error: fsOpen: fileRoot: i/o error The score I am using, BTW, is derived from both the old fossil partition that is now dead, and the arena: in other words I looked both places and seem to have found the same score value. Anybody seen this? Thanks again. ron
