Subject: [9fans] cpu+auth server under vnware-4.0 question..
Date: Wed, 5 May 2004 16:35:00 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.4.56.0405051634200.18361@pali.cps.cmich.edu> (raw)
I have had success in making vmware.zip version work
under vmware-4.0 workstation. The cpu-auth server boots
correctly.
An attempt to login with drawterm, there is a problem..
user[none]: bootes
password: xxxxx
!AS protocol botch: Connection reset by peer
user[bootes]:
..repeats..
Any pointers? My kenel compilation comment is included below.

wiki-page says for pcauth kernel compilation to have
bootdir
/386/bin/auth/factotum
/386/bin/disk/kfs
file /sys/src/9/pc/pcauth has no entry of type bootdir,
it has
...
misc
factotum.root
ipconfig.root
kfs.root
...
boot cpu boot /dev/sdC0/
