System is Mandrake-9.1 Linux.

I compiled drawterm (usig mk form plan9-ports) and see a strange
behavior:

cpu% mk


screen does not display any text after this. Same thing happens to
mouse buttons-2 and 3 behavior (not text in boxes).

I also tried precompiled binary form ucalgary's page and see the
same behavior.

Is there something missing from my Linux setup??
