I note that "page" attempts to use "fb/tiff2pic" or some such when I
try to view certain maps in my possession.  Would it be possible to
release the "fb" sources and man pages from 2nd Edition Plan 9 with a
view to having them ported to 4th Edition?

Of course, if a TIFF to PIC conversion already exists in 4th Edition
and somebody points me to it, I'll be less enthusiastic, but I think
the utility of the "fb" modules ought to live on :-)

Lucio,

I just ported libtiff to Plan 9. Perhaps you will find tiff2ps useful for
viewing tiff images. I don't see any tiff2pnm or tiff2jpg programs in its
standard tools, but hopefully I can bring netpbm to Plan 9 sometime in the
future -- it has 'tifftopnm'.
