I changed the entry in /lib/ndb/local to look exactly as you specified, then uncommented the lines in /rc/bin/termrc. When I restarted the computer and logged in, it hanged for a long time, and then said this before starting up: init: starting /bin/rc ndb/dns: can't read my IP address And then of course, I could not ping anything.
