While attempting to install from a boot floppy, I got this error message
and got dropped into text-mode rc. /n/a: somehow got mounted badly and
trying ls got IO errors. mount /srv/dos /n/a: /dev/fd0disk worked, but
there is no vgainfo.txt on the disk. Two disks, two downloads of the boot
floppy, same error. Any ideas?
Thanks,
--Joel

boota: and a: work (at least they exit silently) and after they run, /n/a:
is properly mounted (it seemed to be mounted badly originally). The drives
are AFAIK normal ones.

It's trying to create vgainfo.txt, so it's okay
that you don't see it there -- the create failed!
Does typing "boota:" work? How about "a:"?
Is this a standard floppy drive or is there something
special about it (on a different controller, is an LS-120, etc.)?
Russ
