You can get them with 32MB, that`s what I use. I can`t really see the need of getting a card with higher capabilies . That said, you maywant to go abit higher. Especially if your employer pays. Companies tend go slowly upgrading hardware. --upas-mhdrzyscaseebzaerhtfgdwsav Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Return-Path: <9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu> Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6] verified) by dc-mx10.cluster1.charter.net (CommuniGate Pro SMTP 3.5.9) with ESMTP id 24856816; Mon, 11 Nov 2002 05:15:11 -0500 Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.6.6]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id D443A199E3; Mon, 11 Nov 2002 05:15:07 -0500 (EST) Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: from mercury.bath.ac.uk (mercury.bath.ac.uk [138.38.32.81]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 5B46819980 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Mon, 11 Nov 2002 05:14:10 -0500 (EST) Received: from news by mercury.bath.ac.uk with local (Exim 3.12 #1) id 18BBSG-0003vv-00 for 9fans@cse.psu.edu; Mon, 11 Nov 2002 10:06:04 +0000 Received: from GATEWAY by bath.ac.uk with netnews for 9fans@cse.psu.edu (9fans@cse.psu.edu) To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu From: eatthepi Message-ID: Organization: CU Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Subject: [9fans] Well supported Video Card? I've looked over the list of supported cards in the wiki documentation. I was wondering what the newsgoup's opinion was on the best / most supported card. I figure if we're going to buy something new, it might as well be a well-supported card. Note: We're limited to PCI only since the system has no ISA or AGP slots. Thanks a bunch, eatthepi --upas-mhdrzyscaseebzaerhtfgdwsav--
