For example, importing the audio device across machines, importing a remote disk and setting up a mirror, etc. Also, if it's a demo for programmers, comparing the source code of simple programs from /sys/src/cmd (lc -s might be enough) catches people attention. hth --upas-nqdtqtuqmympzljouzjnfaqtmc Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6]) by aquamar; Sun Sep 19 14:41:49 MDT 2004 Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id BF77719902 for ; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 08:41:48 -0400 (EDT) X-Original-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 21EFA18051 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 08:41:40 -0400 (EDT) Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (psuvax1 [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with LMTP id 03207-01-67 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 08:41:39 -0400 (EDT) Received: from mproxy.gmail.com (rproxy.gmail.com [64.233.170.194]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 0D5A51804D for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 08:41:39 -0400 (EDT) Received: by mproxy.gmail.com with SMTP id 79so814412rnk for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 05:41:35 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.38.79.38 with SMTP id c38mr644361rnb; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 05:41:35 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.38.79.1 with HTTP; Sun, 19 Sep 2004 05:41:35 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: <32a656c2040919054112c73464@mail.gmail.com> Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2004 21:41:35 +0900 From: Vester Thacker To: Fans of the OS Plan 9 from Bell Labs <9fans@cse.psu.edu> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at cse.psu.edu Subject: [9fans] Creating a Plan 9 exhibit for an Expo. It is my desire to help Plan 9 become more widely recognized, understood, and used. I am looking for suggestions for creating a demo, and any lessons learned from earlier attempts. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. --Vester "Vic" Thacker --upas-nqdtqtuqmympzljouzjnfaqtmc--
