Subject: [9fans] snapshots + DMTMP files
Date: Sat, 3 Jul 2004 16:00:20 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <cb412e80226a124013bc4c9c532e7c9d@plan9.ucalgary.ca> (raw)

running 'check' on my fossil results in many errors of the type:

...
error: could not read block in meta file: /snapshot/2004/0702/1500/usr/andrey/tmp[61]: file is not archived
error: could not read block in meta file: /snapshot/2004/0702/1500/usr/andrey/tmp[62]: file is not archived
...

/usr/andrey/tmp and all files in it are chmod-ed +t..

is this expected behaviour?

by the way, is it a good idea to make the DMTMP flag inherited for
directory trees? it makes no difference for venti archives (the file
won't be reached anyway, right?) but it makes it easier to check
whether a particular file deep in the hierarchy is going to be
venti-ed or not..
