Subject: [9fans] nntp server?
Date: Thu, 31 Jan 2008 19:47:13 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <cbf8ef91af9ba581df92bfb57c7943c6@csplan9.rit.edu> (raw)
I'd like to provide locally-mirrored USENET groups (non-binary, of
course) for this system, but a look through 9fans archives seems to
indicate that there isn't much by way of a news server. I see
one message from "Okamoto" at Osakafu University where he says
he is using an old server written in Alef (message at
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.os.plan9/msg/40c7911875d82892),
but beyond that, nothing.
Has no one written a server? If not... I guess there's always "if you
don't like it, write one yourself!"
John
