In a window, 'echo -n debug > /mnt/factotum/ctl' then 'cat /dev/kprint'. In another window, try the attach. Most likely, the caller doesn't know which auth server to use for the auth domain of the file server and is just hanging up. --upas-tzaohddpobwfgzahigukbhmtfo Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from plan9.cs.bell-labs.com ([135.104.9.2]) by plan9; Sun Jul 20 01:03:31 EDT 2003 Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6]) by plan9; Sun Jul 20 01:03:28 EDT 2003 Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 0B3A019D13; Sun, 20 Jul 2003 01:03:17 -0400 (EDT) Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.23.6]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id C624A19AC1; Sun, 20 Jul 2003 01:03:13 -0400 (EDT) X-Original-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 9D5F119B17; Sun, 20 Jul 2003 01:02:46 -0400 (EDT) Received: from mail.foobarbaz.net (unknown [64.71.129.86]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 5451019AC1 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Sun, 20 Jul 2003 01:02:46 -0400 (EDT) Received: by mail.foobarbaz.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id D3BC866B2A; Sat, 19 Jul 2003 22:02:44 -0700 (PDT) From: Christopher Nielsen To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Message-ID: <20030720050244.GG63873@cassie.foobarbaz.net> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.3i Subject: [9fans] fossil and auth Sender: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu Errors-To: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu X-BeenThere: 9fans@cse.psu.edu X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu X-Reply-To: cnielsen@pobox.com List-Id: Fans of the OS Plan 9 from Bell Labs <9fans.cse.psu.edu> List-Archive: Date: Sat, 19 Jul 2003 22:02:44 -0700 X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none version=2.55 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.55 (1.174.2.19-2003-05-19-exp) I have setup a standalone fossil/venti fileserver.
