If you insist on using arrow keys to get from one line to another you could also simply use the left/right arrows, although it might take a bit longer to reach your destination. Using the mouse is definitely faster. Keep in mind the Plan 9 way of doing things; the mouse is used to *control* stuff and the keyboard mainly for *text input*. Best regards, F.
