I run p9p on FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE. Page(1) works fine on PDF, but not
on PS files. When opening the latter, it first produces a very long
list of errors like this:

Ghostscript Error:

Last OS error: 2
Current file position is 77

and then goes on to shows the ps output all the same, but without
certain ligatures, so that, eg, 'affinities' shows up as 'a nities'.

However, if I run gs directly on the same file (without parameters),
or use ps2pdf to convert that ps file to pdf and then run page on it,
there is no problem at all.

Any thoughts on what might cause this?

The version of gs used is 8.71, and p9p is up to date with the hg
tree.

Best wishes,
Mark.
