I don't get it, why does Plan 9 have to behave like Linux or Windows? There are tractors, tracks and lamborghinis and no one expects the first to travel at the speed of sound, the second to pull ploughs or the last to carry furniture around. Yet they all use the internal combustion engine and have wheels at the four corners. Even the user interface is moderately common amongst them. ++L
