Date: Tue, 20 Dec 2011 14:29:37 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <d835c848cf1857f7862815a5445a7bb0@ladd.quanstro.net> (raw)
i added a bit of goo to decode the processor features
and extended features,
dupo; aux/cpuid -ief
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz
dx nox gb rdtscp amd64
cx lahf64
dx fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss htt tm pbe
cx sse3 pclmulqdq dtes64 mon dscpl vmx smx est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr pdcm pcid dca sse41 sse42 popcnt aes
(contrib quanstro/cpuid).
one surprise came out of this, for some reason x2apic does not appear to be supported
on most newish intel processors.
