I don't know if I understand Kenji Okamotos point but I agree with Skip in this point. Plan 9 isn't a toy. It is one of it strengths that it has left behind the academic exercise stage. I don't know any other "alternative" system which is usefull (today) like Plan 9 is. Ok, maybe Minix works but it's yust another UNIX. ;-) Matthias
