The conference starts May 7. Annoyingly, public rentals of student
accomodations on campus aren't available until May 8 :-(
I emailed the student housing folks and asked if they could provide
early bookings for May 6 and 7. In response I received a firm NO.
This would have been a lot simpler if the conference started on
May 9.
Luckily, I have friends in Victoria who I can stay with for the
first two nights. Beware if you were planning to stay in student
accomidations for the duration of the conference.
