how is the -u switch supposed to work when u9fs is run as root ?
term% 9fs 172.16.13.1 unix
post...
term% touch unix/heyya
term% ls -l unix/heyya
--rw-r--r-- M 71 root adi 0 Sep 10 00:24 unix/heyya

the userchange() function has been changed to always succeed without
doing anything at all when 'defaultuser' is set - is that right ?

it's supposed to work when u9fs is *not* run as root.
it's meant for personal use on machines where you
can't run as root.

yes, but only because it means something other than
what you expect it to mean.
