However, I don't know if anyone has tried the same setting you want to get. I think that time ago terminals couldn't boot from a remote kfs, I don't know if that's still the case (you could just try). But you could always put enough at your terminals to get the system up and them mount / from the remote kfs, which would be almost like booting from it.
