There is now a package for the Vim text editor.  To install using
fgb's contrib(1):
% contrib/install stefanha/vim

The next step is to port/add runtime files.  If you want to help, we need:
* rc, rit, 9c, plumbing, etc syntax, indent, and ftplugin files
* 2c and pcc compiler files
* fixes to netrw and other standard runtime scripts (e.g. use hget)
