you aren't up with the level of sleeze involved. what some drive
makers do is give you an option to offset lbas by 1. since the
standard fat layout tend to give (lba%16) == 15, if the lba used
at the interface is 64 (unaligned) the drive will add 1 and get an
aligned lba.
