I downloaded Plan9 last night and have encountered a problem during the
installation.  I have a 3dfx Voodoo3 3000, which is listed as supported, but
the hardware string was somewhat different than the default entry for the
Voodoo3, so I was dropped to a shell prompt.  I tweaked vgadb and added:
    0xC0056="Voodoo3 3000 LC BIOS"  # new? Voodoo3 3000
to the 3dfx section.
After that, my system hangs right after the floppy stops reading when it
says "server dos:" (or similar verbiage).  I tried different resolutions in
my plan9.ini, like 640x480x8, 800x600x8, (same by x16, etc) and I get the
same results.  I added debug=1 to the ini file and it always stops when
issuing the command aux/vga (args + video mode).  Sometimes there is a
flicker like it's probing resolutions or trying to switch video modes, but
it stays hung.  The vgainfo.txt file is attached since it may hold some
clue.
This card is a 3dfx Voodoo3 3000 PCI with 16 MB memory.  It is running fine
under Linux using the framebuffer drivers and the 3dfx Voodo3 driver,
including DRI under X11R6.  It also runs under QNX 4.0, Win2k and WinMe
using the regular 3dfx Voodoo3 drivers as well.
Please let me know if this version of the Voodoo3 is not supported, you need
more info, or you have a solution.
