The most common definition I've found is that a keg is a quarter of a hogshead (63 gallons), putting the keg at 15.75 gallons. However, further research has shown that most breweries outside North America use a 50 liter (~13.2 gal) keg. Surely there must be an international standards body chartered with deciding this issue once and for all, but I have been unable to locate any such definitive authority. -- John Kodis.
