Subject: [9front] rpi zero w 9/bcm revisited
Date: Sun, 12 Jun 2022 00:50:08 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <14725E53EF904C5C84416040ED65C0B1@9p.sdf.org> (raw)
Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had luck getting support for
the Cypress CYW43438 wifi/bt chip used in the rpi zero w. I saw that
a couple of years ago there may have been some effort with Richard
Miller's ether4330.c for the rpi3 9/bcm64 which seems to use the
same Cypress chip as the rpi zero.
I've had success using the MakerSpot's USB hat and the current 9/bcm
based pi.img of 9front will happily boot up and run quite well on the
pi zero w. Various USB storage devices, keyboards, mice all seem to
work decently enough, but I'm now looking at getting some kind of
network support working.
I have 10 of these. I know they are a bad design, but it seems its
almost to the point that they could be neat little 9front terminal.
Maybe someone has one too? (Kenji?)
