Maybe of interest, I back ported p9p stats to plan9 and added backends for
windows and linux - there is a macos backend framework though I never
finished that one.

This uses rx (and by implication ssh) to start the remote process on linux and plan9.
I modified rx to use my dos(1) o it could also  open a session to auxstats.exe on
a windows box.

I am happy to share the code if anyone is interested.
