The '-m' flag was added to date largely
to support git scripts. It predates the
tmdate code, which is why it exists, but
it's a recent enough addition that nothing
I'm aware of uses it, other than git.
I'd like to remove it, since 'date -f'
covers its functionality completely.
Any objections?

Just so you don't get complete silence
(which could be mistaken for the list not
working): sounds good to me.

i don’t seem to have any scripts using date -m. no objection to removing it.
