I use hjfs yet don't have trust that it will always work. That's where venti comes in--I can restore (and have restored) to an hjfs partition from a venti backup. I trust venti more than hjfs. I'd be interested in using fossil + venti but that has already been brought up on this list/9fans multiple times.
