I don't really want a modern web browser in Plan 9, as I'm sure the rest of you understand. Plan 9 is about functional minimalism, and full-featured web browsers are JavaScript-driven behemoths that exist outside of the Unix philosophy (uzbl tries to fix this, not convincingly). Web browsers are often disgusting, large, and beastly. The lack of a modern web browser on Plan 9 (and other similar hobbyist OSs) keeps most of the idiots on the outside.
