most useful would be the ability to do actions on multiple messages at once. nedmail handles this with ed/sam- style ranges.

I use this in pipefrom to save sent (well, technically outgoing) mails in
a Sent folder (mbappend /mail/box/sirjofri/Sent <$TMP)
