Does anyone know where to co-host like ratshack. It seems incredibly
difficult to do this using EC2 with pv-grub. I wouldn't even know
where to begin on 9front. So what other options exist to host. I would
assume it would need IPMI support to boot and install.
Regards.

I've run 9labs on VMs at Arp Networks in the past, I haven't tried
9front, but see no reason why it wouldn't work. Arp support is very
good about helping tune qemu settings to work with non-traditional
OSes.

How about native. Trying to stay away from QEMU. I feel QEMU is too
slow which is why I brought up IPMI

They have bare metal servers as well. Check their website.

If you are looking to run 9front on a VPS then vultr.com is what
mycroftiv uses to run 9gridchan:
http://doc.9gridchan.org/them/vultr
There are others who successfully use vultr to host 9front machines as well.

what is the problem with that grub you mentioned?
perhaps you're not aware you can boot a 9front kernel from grub just
like a linux kernel...
ipmi is a pain, but i don't see why there should be anything special
about 9front in this regard...
ovh works here

9front perfectly runs on netcup vps. Seems like kvm is generally pretty
stable for it.
You need to erase the disk and install with mbr, but then I see no
limitations.
Also netcup is cheap (I pay 2.41€/month) and in Germany, which is good
for european people.

ARP Networks is great. My uptimes on their systems are measured in
years. They also let you change the image in the virtual CD-ROM. Their
tech support are (real) human beings who (actually) know what they're
talking about. And, although the option isn't evident on their webface,
you can pay in Bitcoin... which means you don't have to futz around with
bank accounts, credit cards, or any of that nonsense.

Haha, give me a break. How do you convert your real money to buttcoins
in the first place? I don't have *any* buttcoins and I'd bet real money
that there's surely some futzing around to be done in order to get some.
